Fall/Winter Essentials

Happy December everyone! November was an insanely busy month for me!  I still cannot believe that we are reaching the end of 2016.  As always, I try my best to do and plan things thoroughly without forgetting to enjoy the actual process.  While we are in the midst of the holiday sales season, I think it is best to look for essential pieces that will never run out of style.  That being said, my current go-to outfit must be effortless, something that I can grab and throw on instantly.  Basic and chic at the same time.

For me, my simplest wardrobe staples are knit sweaters.  Perhaps my favorite shade for sweaters is grey.  Speaking of trend, grey is such a timeless color that will refresh the monochrome look without crossing a dramatic line, not too ultra-black or ultra-white.  For today outfit, I wore an oversized grey sweater with a pair of coated skinny jeans.  To add a sequent level of shine and polish, I styled the overall look with a pair of leather ankle boots, a vintage leather belt, and a lustrous chain satchel.  Because navy goes well with black, as well as grey, I elevated the casual look with a fedora hat to add a little modish spin and to keep my hair in place from the wind!

Bottom line, my winter essentials always stick with pullover sweaters, in which can be worn alone or layered with jackets/coats.  Sweaters are brilliantly classic, layerable, and tuckable.  These must-have knitwears will for sure keep me warm during this transitioning seasons.  I think that basic pieces are always worth investing in.
